The Orlando are experienced the wind and rain of Hurricane Milton on Wednesday and Thursday, October 9 and 10. Our live webcam, located in downtown Winter Garden, captured the action during the evening and overnight hours before downtown lost power about 2:15am on Thursday morning.
Power was restored about 35 hours later, on Friday afternoon. While there is no visible damage in the webcam video, there are hundreds of downed trees in the surrounding area, and more than 20,000 were without power in the immediate vicinity, according to the Duke Energy outage map.
The video is 37 seconds long and features clips throughout the night at two times normal speed. The video ends when power is restored.
